7IM hires Coutts' director Sanderson for discretionary push

Seven Investment Management has appointed Stewart Sanderson to run the firm’s discretionary relationship management team.

Sanderson’s appointment is part of 7IM’s discretionary expansion to include investments, as well as savings and loans, under one roof, in order to compete with the private banking sector.

In his new role, Sanderson will be responsible for  the relationship management team as well as developing and running relationships himself.

His appointment will free up David Carroll, one of the founding seven, to focus on the clients he advises and to guide the evolution of 7IM’s offering to higher net worth clients and professional intermediaries from his position on the management committee.

Tom Sheridan (pictured), chief executive of the firm, said:  ‘Stewart’s knowledge and expertise will be really useful to us, we have lots to do, big plans and need a great team of people to make it all happen – he will be an important and complementary addition to 7IM.’

Sanderson previously worked as a director at Coutts and Co Wealth Management and has over 20 years of experience, working as a financial adviser, private banker and regional director across wealth management firms.
