AA-rated John McClure gets Unicorn Income co-managers
by Robert St George on Jan 09, 2014 at 14:52
‘Unicorn has a philosophy of nurturing and developing home-grown talent,’ said McClure (pictured). ‘Fraser and Simon’s promotion to co-managers of the Unicorn UK Income and the Acorn Income funds is in recognition of their work and instrumental contribution to the success of Unicorn.’
Unicorn UK Income has returned 246% since its launch in May 2004, compared with an average of 115% from its peer group through the period. The performance has also helped the fund balloon in size: from £85 million at the start of 2013, it now contains more than £500 million.
Over the past five years Acorn Income has returned 516%, compared with an average of 179% from its sector.
