AAA-rated Wright: the UK's 'great unsung' ethical companies
by Robert St George on Apr 10, 2014 at 13:55
'Over the years, there is very little evidence that ethical funds underperform,' he said.
His own fund has returned 70.3% over the past three years, compared with an average of 38.6% from his UK All Companies peer group and 31.2% from the FTSE All Share index.
Wright's greatest sector weighting is currently to industrials, and he argues that that should not be regarded as incongruous.
Rather than investing in what he terms the 'metal bashers' of that sector, Wright instead highlights one of the 'great unsung companies of the UK' that he has found in the industrials pile.
