by Robert St George on Oct 17, 2013 at 11:55
Edward Troughton is to leave Alliance Trust Investments (ATI), where he was managing director, by the end of the year.
Alliance Trust confirmed he was quitting to ‘to pursue another opportunity within the industry’.
Troughton joined Alliance Trust in February 2008 to build its asset management business, which now manages over £2 billion.
Fund management responsibilities within ATI will remain unchanged, with chief executive Katherine Garrett-Cox continuing to oversee the overall business until a replacement is appointed.
‘We remain committed to the long-term growth of the ATI business so that it will be a positive contributor to the results of the trust,’ commented Garrett-Cox (pictured).
‘ATI’s refocused offering on global equities, fixed income and socially responsible investing has strengthened market perceptions and is helping to attract both retail and institutional investors.’
