Independent private bank Arbuthnot Latham & Co has hired Jim Pittick as a director.
Pittick has been appointed to Arbuthnot's commercial banking division where he will be responsible for corporate and commercial clients.
The bank's latest hire has enjoyed a career which so far spans more than 30 years, much of it spent in the corporate and commercial banking sectors, and most recently at Coutts & Co where he served as an executive director of professional practices.
Commenting on the appointment, James Fleming, chief executive of Arbuthnot Latham & Co, said: 'Jim joins an expanding business at Arbuthnot Latham and his appointment is a crucial part of that expansion.
'His experience in the commercial field will be hugely valuable in developing our relationships with corporate clients.'
Arbuthnot said it is currently experiencing growing demand for high quality services to small corporate businesses, and believes these services are complimentary to its private client offering.
'Jim’s experience will be a great support as we develop this area of our business,' Fleming added.
