Artemis UK Special Situations

on Sep 15, 2013 at 12:00

Citywire Selection verdict: Derek Stuart and Ruth Keattch look for unloved companies that are in the process of management turnaround. They hold over half the fund in FTSE 100 companies, another 30 per cent in medium-sized companies, and the rest in small and unquoted stocks. The pair have shown dependable performance, beating the FTSE All Share index with lower long-term volatility. Like many of the other picks in this sector, the fund is skewed towards industrials and technology companies, and away from financials. The fund has rebounded strongly over the last 18 months following a relative dip in returns, and we back this fund to continue to perform in the future.
