Aschourt Rowan hires Towry's Jones as financial planning chief

Ashcourt Rowan Financial Planning has appointed Towry director and senior client partner Gaius Jones as its incoming chief executive.

Jones (pictured) is set to leave Towry in August after 14 years at the firm having worked at John Scott & Partners, which acquired Towry in 2006.

Jones will report to Ashcourt Rowan’s group chief executive Jonathan Polin and take over from Ashcourt Rowan Financial Planning's outgoing chief executive Chris Williams who will leave the company later this year.

Polin said Gaius’s experience would help the company maximise the opportunities available in the post-retail distribution review (RDR)-world.

‘Gaius’s experience at John Scott & Partners, and more latterly at Towry, will be invaluable in maximising the opportunity following RDR and the significant consolidation prospects that will unfold. His experience in developing strong professional introducer links and looking after key high-net-worth clients will be invaluable as we seek to grow our footprint across the UK.’
