Aviva Investors hires ex- Swip COO
by Eleanor Lawrie on Jun 03, 2014 at 08:08
Susan Ebenston has joined Aviva Investors as chief operating officer, reporting to chief executive Euan Munro (pictured).
Her responsibilities include operations, technology and performance measurement across Aviva Investors’ global business units, the firm said.
Ebenston joins from Sydney-based Westpac Group, where she was chief compliance officer, and in a previous role was COO at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.
Her arrival signals the departure of interim chief investment officer Ian Davis, who was appointed in July 2013 after the departure of John Hodgson. Davis will remain at the group.
'Susan has an excellent understanding of the asset management industry and a very strong track record in building globally integrated operational platforms. As we continue to simplify our business and increasingly develop solutions offering important client outcomes with low volatility, the right systems, processes and procedures will be crucial. I have no doubt that Susan has the knowledge and skills to ensure that our operational capabilities become market-leading as we execute our strategy,' Munro said.
