Aviva to cut multi asset chief in streamlining move

Aviva Investors’ head of multi asset funds Yoram Lustig is set to leave, as a result of the firm streamlining its team.

Lustig, who joined Aviva in 2009, co-manages two of the firm’s retail funds, including Aviva Investors Diversified Asset and £301.2 million Diversified Strategy funds, as well as institutional mandates running to billions in size.

A spokeswoman for Aviva said: ‘We have streamlined the multi asset funds team and as a result we are in discussions with Yoram Lustig, head of multi asset funds at Aviva Investors about his role.

'The rest of the team and its collaborative approach to fund management remain unchanged.’

Prior to joining Aviva, Lustig was head of portfolio construction EMEA at Merrill Lynch, responsible for managing multi asset discretionary portfolios among other roles.

Before joining Merrill Lynch in 2002, he practiced law for three years, specialising in corporate, financial and commercial law.

In another move, senior portfolio analyst Jonathan Abrahams has left the firm ‘to pursue other opportunities.’ Aviva said the rest of his team remains in place.
