Axa makes global inflation bond fund available to UK
Markets
by Emma Dunkley on Nov 22, 2012 at 12:17
Axa Investment Managers has made its WF Universal Inflation Bonds fund run by Jonathan Baltora available to UK investors.
The fund, launched in July this year, invests in inflation-linked bonds across developed and emerging markets and seeks to minimise duration risk by focusing on issues of 10 years or less.
Baltora said the portfolio is designed to allocate to those economies that are driving global growth, as opposed to giving weight to more indebted countries.
He added allocation would be based on country GDP weightings and rules-based filters with the aim of maximising liquidity and tax efficiency.
The firm also offers the AXA WF Global Inflation Bonds fund, managed by Marion Le Morhedec.
Over three years, Le Morhedec's Global Inflation Bond fund has delivered 23.2% versus the benchmark’s -8.1%.
