by Emma Dunkley on Nov 16, 2012 at 12:26
Tony Pitcher, a director of Barclays Wealth Advisory, has been appointed as the Jersey branch chairman of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Step).
Pitcher’s role as chairman will include coordinating activities in Jersey and overseeing corporate governance as well as strategic direction for the branch.
He has been a Step member for over 15 years and a member of the Jersey branch committee for five years. For the past two years, he has also occupied the role of vice-chairman.
Pitcher said: ‘In these challenging economic times I will work to ensure that Step Jersey continues to thrive as a branch and provide excellent value for our members, encouraging students who succeed with their examinations to take full Step membership.’
