Barclays' former Scottish wealth head to exit
by Elsa Buchanan on Oct 15, 2013 at 07:47
Little (pictured) was replaced in this role by Calum Brewster after a management restructure of the group’s regional offices in June, but remained a member of its advisory committee.
It also believed that Barclays will not replace Little on the advisory committee.
Their exits come ahead of the bank’s restructure of its wealth and investment division under new chief Peter Horrell, which could reduce its private banker headcount significantly.
The June regional restructure was followed by a raft of departures, including Liverpool-based private banker Mark Esner, Glasgow-based Duncan Gourlay and David Ridland, and Edinburgh-based associate director David Paterson.
At the time, a spokesperson for the firm said the management restructure had taken place to ‘make sure the business is best placed to capitalise on opportunities outside of London’.
Little joined Barclays in 2005 from Deutsche Bank. Barclays declined to comment.
