Barclays launches St Albans wealth arm
by Elsa Buchanan on Feb 27, 2014 at 10:01
Barclays Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is opening an office in St Albans.
In a push into the home counties, the bank will roll in private bankers and wealth advisers to join the corporate banking relationship directors, who are already based at the Hertfordshire location.
Robin Reynolds, regional drector for Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in Hertfordshire, said in a statement: 'We will utilise our skills, local knowledge and experience, combined with the depth and breadth of offering of the broader Barclays organisation to advise our clients across a wide range of circumstances: from entrepreneurs looking to take the next step with their business or families seeking support on inheritance and succession planning.'
The bank explained the move was following 'increased demand from clients in the area'.
This comes less than a month after Barclays WIM anounced it was opening a new office in Southampton, in a bid to expand its presence in Hampshire, where it already has established a Bournemouth office.
