Barclays Wealth has strengthened its alternatives team with a double appointment, continuing its recent hiring spree.
The wealth management firm has added Marco Severi as vice president within the alternative investment distribution team, joining from Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management.
Meanwhile, Ishtaj Rahman has joined from Barclays Wealth's Dubai office as a hedge fund specialist. Both will be based in London.
The new additions follow several announcements in recent time which saw five new recruits hired for the alternative investments team.
Craig Lewis, head of EMEA Relationship Management and Distribution for Barclays Wealth, said: 'Clearly Alternative Investments are an integral part of our global offering and in recent months we have significantly increased our team of Alternative Investment specialists.
'We believe Alternative Investments will continue to grow in importance and the identification and structuring of the right solutions demands more resources. The team in the EMEA region is committed to delivering tailored investment solutions to our clients in conjunction with Barclay’s Wealth overall investment philosophy.'
