Brewin hires Allan as duo exit Barclays’ Glasgow team
by Elsa Buchanan on Oct 25, 2013 at 09:59
Allan will report to Stephen Martin (pictured), head of Brewin’s Glasgow office. He recently left his role as a portfolio manager in Barclays’ Glasgow office.
His departure follows that of Stuart Biggart, who opted to retire from Barclays, Wealth Manager understands.
The double exit follows a raft of departures from Barclays’ wealth and investment division in Scotland.
Little was replaced in this role by Calum Brewster after a regional management restructure earlier in the year.
Portfolio manager Eline Lofgren has also left the Glasgow office.
Their exits come as the bank restructures its wealth and investment division under new chief executive Peter Horrell, who is looking to reduce its private banker headcount.
In September, ahead of the strategic overhaul, director and former UK private banking head David Semaya also announced he was retiring after 10 years at the bank.
Barclays declined to comment.
