Brewin rebuilds Leicester arm as Charles Stanley hires 12 more
by Dylan Lobo on May 01, 2013 at 09:40
In March Wealth Manager revealed Charles Stanley had hired a six-strong team from Brewin, which included office head Ed Cufflin and four other senior investment directors.
The additional hires include a business development manager, a financial planner, two paraplanners, three trainee investment managers, two investment assistants with the remainder providing administrative functions.
For contractual reasons the former directors are unable to immediately start work at a rival and are currently on gardening leave, with the office expected to open in August.
However, Brewin said it remained committed to the Leicester office, and has relocated David Bellamy from its Lincoln branch to head it.
The company’s Midlands director Stephen Jones (pictured) told the Leicester Mercury: ‘The intention is to rebuild the business in Leicester. There's no plans to shut up shop in Leicester, in fact quite the opposite.’
