Brooks Macdonald links up with Lincolnshire wealth manager
by Robert St George on Nov 04, 2013 at 09:40
Brooks Macdonald Asset Management has struck a deal with FB Wealth Management, a firm based in the Humber & Lincolnshire region, to manage its discretionary portfolios.
Under the strategic alliance, Brooks Macdonald will offer FB Wealth’s clients access to its Bespoke Portfolio Service and Managed Portfolio Service. The former constructs a personalised portfolio, while the latter encompasses five actively managed, risk-rated portfolios.
‘We wanted to offer our clients the best of both worlds: a superior investment service combined with fully independent financial planning advice,’ explained John Varley, FB Wealth’s managing director, in a statement.
‘Forming a strategic alliance with Brooks Macdonald has most definitely helped to facilitate this aim and represents a significant part of our growth strategy. We believe we now have an investment and advice proposition, which truly sets us apart from the competition.’
Brooks Macdonald will manage both services for FB Wealth on a discretionary basis, with responsibility for the suitability of the portfolios being retained by FB Wealth. The portfolios will be managed by Brooks Macdonald’s York office, led by Claire Bennison (pictured).
‘FB Wealth have a thorough financial advisory process that feeds into our robust investment process and provides clients with a first-rate wealth management solution,’ commented Andrew Shepherd, joint managing director of Brooks Macdonald Asset Management.
