Budget 2014: inheritance tax scrapped for emergency services staff

Emergency services workers who die in the course of duty will be exempted from inheritance tax, under proposals announced by chancellor George Osborne in today's Budget.
The tax will be scrapped 'for those in our emergency services who give their lives protecting us,' the chancellor said.
