BH Global has named Sir Michael Bunbury as its new chair after Lord Turnbull ended his five-year association with the trust.
Bunbury, who serves as chairman of Harbourvest and JP Morgan Claverhouse investment trusts, is a former chairman of Smith & Williamson and he remains a consultant to the firm.
Turnbull told the stockmarket: ‘I am now standing down after five years planning, launching and chairing BH Global Limited. Since its launch in June 2008 its net asset value has grown by over 28% and the company has shown great resilience through some very turbulent times.
'As a multi-strategy listed investment company, BH Global Limited provides an innovative alternative to other listed vehicles.’
The company’s senior independent chair John Hallam added: ‘Andrew [Turnbell] has been a great asset to the company during his tenure as chairman. We are grateful to him for his guidance, insight and expertise since the launch of the company.
‘We welcome Sir Michael to the board and look forward to working with him. He brings a wealth of financial services and investment fund experience to the company having steered a number of high profile entities in the sector.’
