Butterfield Bank has appointed Kim Hillier as head of private banking.
As part of her role, Hillier will take charge of strategic development and oversight of Butterfield’s private banking offering in London, leveraging off its global reputation as a leading wealth manager.
A particular focus for Hillier will be overseeing the continued growth and delivery of Butterfield’s services to select onshore and offshore high net worth clients.
Hillier brings with her to the bank three decades' experience as an international adviser in wealth management with a core focus on running money for high net worth individuals and families.
She joins from Stonehage Investment Partners LLP, part of the Stonehage Multi-Family Office, where she served as executive director overseeing the global investment affairs of a number of significant families.
Announcing the hire, Raymond Sykes, managing director at Butterfield, said: 'Kim is an extremely talented and experienced professional and I am very pleased to welcome her to the Butterfield team.
'Kim brings with her extensive knowledge of the wealth management and private banking industry and the right skills to continue the growth and the new development of our private banking and wealth management business here in the UK and in the other international markets in which we have an interest.'
