Charles Stanley poaches Brewin Dolphin Leicester team
by James Phillipps on Mar 28, 2013 at 07:30
The other team members are believed to also include a number of divisional directors.
They are now all on six months’ gardening leave and Charles Stanley will open an office for them in the city when this finishes.
Brewins has had a presence in Leicester since 2000 when it acquired Hill Osborne and the office is understood to run more than £500 million in private client and charity money.
Charles Stanley, chaired by Sir David Howard (pictured), currently has a 32-branch network nationwide, including a Midlands presence in Birmingham and Nottingham.
The move will result in further upheaval at Brewins, which last week announced that executive chairman Jamie Matheson was stepping down and its board was being downsized from 12 to nine, with just four executive members.
Charles Stanley declined to comment and Brewin Dolphin was unavailable for comment.
