by James Phillipps on Jul 27, 2012 at 00:01
Charles Stanley private client directors Hugo Akerman, Anthony Scott and Christopher Harris-Deans are among four new additions to the group’s board.
Harris-Deans, is the branch director of the firm’s Exeter office, having moved over when it was acquired from Barclays Wealth in 2007. Akerman and Harris-Deans and Akerman are both directors of private clients with the group’s London asset management division where they manage portfolios for private clients and charities. Akerman also runs trust money while Harris-Deans is a board member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and chairman of its membership committee.
They will be joined on the board by James Stewart-Smith, who works in the group’s Guildford office. He joined Charles Stanley in 2007 also from Barclays Wealth.
Group chairman Sir David Howard (pictured) said: ‘Our focus has always been on service to our clients and in Hugo, Chris, Anthony and James we have four very capable individuals who will help drive the company forward in an ever more complex post-RDR environment. I look forward to their contribution to the management and strategy of Charles Stanley going forward.’
