Charles Stanley unite Vestra financial planning head with Brewin six for Leicester arm
by Dylan Lobo on Oct 01, 2013 at 07:59
Charles Stanley’s Leicester office has opened for business, with a team of six former Brewin Dolphin investment managers joining forces with the former head of financial planning at Vestra Wealth.
The private client stockbroker has convinced former Wealth Manager cover star Christopher Stothard (pictured) to exchange his role at Vestra with a similar one at its new Leicester proposition.
The branch, the firm’s thirty-third regional office, is headquartered of the former base of Leicester Mercury paper at Mercury Place, St. George Street.
It is headed by ex-Brewin manager Ed Cufflin, who is joined by five other senior investment managers he worked alongside at Brewins, including David Coulson, Chris Hailes, Andrew Baker and Simon Hopewell.
Regional intermediary sales manager Adrian Sawyer completes the line-up of key figures at the branch.
Charles Stanley said it will fully integrate the new team over the next few months and begin the process of bringing on-board new private clients and engaging with their extensive network of intermediaries, accountants, solicitors, charities and trusts.
‘Joining Charles Stanley is the perfect fit for our established private clients and our intermediary clients alike,’ Cufflin said in a statement.
‘We thought long and hard about where would be best for our clients in the post-RDR era and how we could best support the growing needs of our clients over the coming years…We see enormous synergies and investment possibilities going forward and believe that the Charles Stanley proposition offers exceptional value for all our long-standing relationships.’
Charles Stanley director Gary Teper added: ‘This is our thirty-third office in the Charles Stanley regional branch network and we have been impressed with the professionalism and quality of the new employees that are joining us both in investment management terms and financial planning.
‘The office has a very good blend of intermediary clients and private clients and I look forward to seeing the office’s development over the coming years.’
