Chase de Vere offers RDR-burdened Chester adviser a home
by Robert St George on Mar 05, 2014 at 11:02
Richard Owen has joined Chase de Vere’s Chester office after closing down his own firm in the area.
Owen was principal at Mere Park Financial Services in Shropshire, but Wealth Manager understands he approached Chase de Vere due to the regulatory burden and costs of running the business after the Retail Distribution Review.
A spokesperson for Chase de Vere confirmed that Owen had brought his client book with him, although no financial terms have been disclosed.
Chase de Vere opened its Chester branch in September 2012 with eight advisers, which has grown to 12 following Owen’s appointment.
The company is looking to recruit at least two more advisers in Chester this year.
Steve Hearn, senior manager at Chase de Vere, commented: ‘We are really pleased that Richard has decided to join us. He is an experienced and good quality adviser.’
