City Financial hires manager for Global Fixed Income fund

City Financial has appointed Phillip Lee as a global fixed income manager.
Lee will work closely with Graham Glass, lead manager of the City Financial Defensive Global Bond fund, who said in a statement: '[Lee's] extensive fixed income knowledge will help drive our commitment of delivering consistent returns with minimal volatility and low correlation. We look forward to working with him to develop our business strategy.'
City Financial's chief executive Andrew Williams, explained Lee's hire was part of a wider expansion plan for its fixed income business.
With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Lee joins from Asset Risk Consultants, an independent investment consulting practice, where he was associate director.
Previously, he held a broad range of roles, including portfolio management, proprietary trader, strategist and risk adviser at companies including HSBC, Old Mutual Asset Management and Exco International.
Andrew Williams, chief executive of City Financial, said: 'As we continue to expand into the fixed income market, the combination of Phillip’s detailed analysis and in-depth global product knowledge makes him a welcome addition to the team.'
