Close Brothers launches family businesses initiative

Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) launches a dedicated initiative to provide support and networking programmes for business owners and their families.

Spearheaded by Penny Lovell, head of private client services at CBAM and former cover star, the Close Brothers Family Business Club will offer a programme of tailored regional seminars, conferences and networking events aiming to provide wealth advice on both personal and business matters.

Lowell (pictured) said in a statement: 'Working with family businesses at Close Brothers in 2013 has further cemented our view that they are the heart of the British economy and are helping to drive the UK forward.'

'We have found that more than ever families are looking for support on growing and managing their businesses now and into the future. Being able to offer a bespoke service allows us to expertly guide these families across all areas of financial planning, corporate issues, and wealth management. We really look forward to sharing our expertise and working with family businesses, new and old, in 2014.'

A dedicated LinkedIn community group has also been set up to allow family businesses to engage with each other and share their experiences.
