Cru bars Citywire from press conference

Cru Investment Management has barred Citywire journalists from attending a press conference that will follow the investor meeting currently taking place in London.

Several dozen advisers have attended the meeting at the Hyatt Hotel in Portman Square to quiz Cru's non-executive chairman Jon Maguire and managing director Marc Ainscough about the future of the suspended Arch Cru fund range.

Citywire, which has today revealed details of soft loans between Cru and the Channel Islands investment cells behind the Arch Cru funds, has been told it cannot participate in the press briefing planned for 6pm this evening.

However, having broken the story and led the coverage of the suspension we will not be deterred from doing our job.
