by Elsa Buchanan on Oct 25, 2013 at 08:12
Hargreaves Lansdown's head of fund research Mark Dampier (pictured) has netted £621,160 after selling 53,000 shares in the firm.
Dampier, who sold the shares in his wife's name, told Wealth Manager his motives to sell were personal.
'I sold because I just wanted to buy a new house,' he said, adding the sale had 'no link' to Hargreaves Lansdown as a company.
The sale at a £11.72 per share represented 0.0112% of the ordinary shares in issue and Dampier's stake in Hargreaves Lansdown has now fallen to 0.17%.
Shares in Hargreaves Lansdown gained 1.2% yesterday to close at a 12-month high of £11.85.
