Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has recruited Renaissance Asset Managers' chief executive Barbara Rupf Bee.
Rupf Bee joins Deutsche as head of its global client group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will be responsible for delivering investment products and services to institutional and retail clients across the region.
Michele Faissola, head of Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, said: ‘Barbara is a perfect fit for our global firm.
'She has extensive experience across the full breadth of our product offering, including traditional and alternative investments, as well as developed and emerging markets. She also has a deep understanding of the needs of both retail and institutional investors. I am delighted to welcome her to the team.’
Before running Renaissance, Rupf Bee served as global head of institutional sales at HSBC Global Asset Management.
At Deutsche Rupf Bee replaces Peter Roemer, who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.
The Europe, the Middle East and Africa region represents almost £500 billion of Deutsche’s £766 billion of assets under management across its asset and wealth management business.
