Edinburgh wealth firm poaches Swip fund manager
by David Campbell on Aug 16, 2013 at 11:11
Edinburgh based wealth manager Anderson Strathern Asset Management has poached Swip fixed income manager Neal Caldwell in the latest defection from the investment giant.
Caldwell had worked at Swip since 2011, having previously spent four years as a strategy analyst on Standard Life Investments’ multi-asset team.
Anderson Strathern head of asset management and former Wealth Manager cover star Alec Stewart (pictured) said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Neal to Anderson Strathern Asset Management.
'He brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, coupled with an excellent client-centric approach. His appointment demonstrates our commitment to the private client sector and reflects growing demand for our services.’
Caldwell is the latest exit from Swip, which has seen a series of departures since announcing the restructure of its internal management and strategy in April 2012. James Clunie, Swip’s star quant manager, also left the company to join Jupiter earlier this year.
