Markets
by Charlie Parker on Feb 03, 2010 at 15:41
The former head of exchange traded funds at Lyxor, Dan Draper, has joined Credit Suisse Asset Management in the same role.
Draper, who led Lyxor, the ETF arm of Societe Generale, as it launched into the UK will start in the Spring. He was also previously the head of Barclays ishare's UK business.
He has been a regular speaker at Citywire events making the case for active and passive investment strategies co-existing in portfolios.
The Swiss bank already has an extensive ETF range but has yet to gain the significant traction it needs to challenge the leading players in the UK.
Draper's new boss at Credit Suisse, Oliver Schupp said: 'Dan's experience over the past decade in the development and trading of ETFs will be invaluable as we continue to grow this business.'
