European Wealth appoints John Morton executive chair

European Wealth Management has appointed former Aberdeen Asset Manager chair John Morton to serve as executive chair.

Morton, a founder director of the three-year-old business, is also a former chief executive of Ashcourt Rowan, where many of European Wealth’s senior team previously worked.

He assumes the position from George Robb, who will remain on the board as a senior non-executive director.

Chief executive of European Wealth Management and former Wealth manager coverstar Rod Gentry (pictured) said: ‘[Morton] has played an instrumental role in the creation and development of the business to date.

‘John has an extensive network of relationships in the wealth management industry and the City which we believe will serve the Group exceptionally well as we continue developing our presence in the market.’
