Ex-Aviva chief Moss resurfaces at risk consultancy
by Danielle Levy on Jun 03, 2014 at 08:30
Aviva's former chief executive Andrew Moss has returned to financial services after joining risk consultancy Parker Fitzgerald.
Moss (pictured) joins as chairman of the advisory board at Parker Fitzgerald, marking the first role he has taken since he stepped down as Aviva's chief executive in May 2012 after a shareholder revolt over his pay.
In his new role at Parker Fitzgerald, Moss will advise the senior management team on the firm's strategy, financial performance and risk management.
Moss said after seeing the 'unprecedented' level of regulatory change in the financial services industry first hand, he takes the view that boards have not fully appreciated the long-term impact on their business models.
He added: 'Parker Fitzgerald has established itself as a credible partner for the industry...By putting my experience to work, now with an objective perspective, I hope to help Parker Fitzgerald deliver on the exciting opportunity the business has ahead of it.'
Scott Vincent, global managing partner at Parker Fitzgerald said: 'Andrew brings a wealth of experience with him, having worked at some of the world’s leading financial institutions. His market knowledge and insight across the three core sectors we service, banking, insurance and asset management, make him a hugely valuable addition to the firm.'
