Former Barclays Wealth head joins Lombard Odier

Barclays’s former UK and European wealth management chief Henry Fischel-Bock has joined Lombard Odier as head of its UK and continental private client business.

Fischel-Bock (pictured), who quit Barclays Wealth & Investment Management after four years earlier this month, joins the Swiss company on 1 January next year and will report into managing partner Frédéric Rochat.

‘We have built a significant private client business within the European Union with a single and efficient technology platform that allows us to offer clients solutions to their increasingly complex needs,’ Rochat said.

‘We are delighted to welcome someone at our group with Henry’s longstanding wealth management experience. His drive to offer clients a differentiated and long-term value proposition is closely in line with our own business model.’

Lombard Odier’s private client business provides a range of investment, custody, tax reporting and estate planning services to wealthy individuals and families across Europe. It operates out of offices in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Madrid, Paris and Luxembourg.

Barclays said it is actively seeking a replacement for Fischel-Bock.
