Former Morgan Stanley Europe wealth boss joins RiverPeak

Marianne Hay, a former head of wealth management at Morgan Stanley, has joined RiverPeak Wealth.

Hay will sit on RiverPeak’s advisory board, working on the growth and development of the business, which was launched last month by former Banque Havilland private banking head Nick Parker.

‘We are delighted that Marianne is joining us in an advisory capacity,’ Parker (pictured) commented. ‘Her past experience and skills will prove invaluable to us, and our clients, as we grow the business.’

Hay was head of private wealth management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Morgan Stanley between 2002 and 2005.

She then joined Citi as chief executive of its global wealth management business in Europe until 2007, before moving to Standard Chartered as head of private banking for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas until 2010. Hay has worked as a consultant since then.

‘The wealth management market in the UK continues to be fragmented with no clear market leader,’ Hay said. ‘RDR has given RiverPeak Wealth an opportunity to develop new ways of providing wealth advice. I am looking forward to helping RiverPeak’s directors meet their ambitious goals over the months ahead.’
