Mark Niznik began his career in 1986 as a discretionary private client fund manager at Greig Middleton. After seven years in this role he moved on to Perpetual where he managed the Invesco Perpetual UK Smaller Companies Equity fund. In 2002 he transferred to Standard Life Investments where he adopted a stock picking approach to the UK Opportunities fund and also looked after an in house small cap pension fund. He moved to Artemis in October 2007, and now co manages the Artemis UK Smaller Companies fund with William Tamworth. Niznik counts scuba diving and motorcycling among his preferred pastimes.

Objective

The objective of the Fund is to achieve long-term capital growth. The emphasis of the Fund will be investment in smaller companies listed, quoted and/or traded in the UK and in smaller companies which are headquartered or have a significant part of their activities in the UK which are quoted on a regulated market outside the UK.
