Adam Avigdori, Director and portfolio manager, is a member of BlackRock's UK Equity team in the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock's Alpha Strategies Group. Avigdori is Co-Head of the UK Income fund, with a sector emphasis on Consumer Goods. Avigdori's service with the firm dates back to 2001, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. Avigdori earned a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from UMIST in 2001.

Mark Wharrier

Mark Wharrier is a member of BlackRock's UK Equity team and portfolio manager of the BlackRock UK Income fund. Wharrier joined BlackRock in September 2013 from NewSmith Asset Management, where he was a portfolio manager and a founding member of the UK Equity team. Wharrier's service with BlackRock first began in 1994 when he joined Mercury Asset Management, which subsequently became Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM). Wharrier earned a BA (Hons) in Economics, History and Management from the University of Durham in 1994.


To provide an above average and growing income without sacrificing the benefits of long-term capital growth by investing primarily in the shares of companies incorporated or listed in the UK. The Fund may also invest in collective investment schemes.
