Angelos Damaskos

Born in Athens in 1963, Angelos Damaskos graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering in 1985, before adding to his qualifications with an MBA in International Finance from the University of Sheffield in 1989. His early career focused on M&A activity primarily concentrating on natural resources. More recently he worked as a senior banker with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development where he was responsible for some of the bank’s equity investments in Russia and the CIS. In 2004 he set up Sector Investment Managers Ltd, launching the Junior Oils Trust in October that year. Away from the office Angelos’ interests include cinema, theatre, music and shooting.

The objective is to provide long-term capital growth from a global portfolio of small to medium capitalisation companies specialising in oil exploration and production. There may be occasions in light of adverse market conditions where the Investment Manager chooses to hold a high level of bonds and government securities.
