Ruairidh Stewart is an Investment Director in the Global Resources team at Martin Currie Investment Management. He began his career as an analyst at OneOffshore in 1997, later holding positions at McKinsey & Company and Simmons & Company International, where he was a Director of equity research. Ruairidh co-manages two resources-related global equity funds for Martin Currie. The funds invest across the wider and diversified resources universe, which the managers believe will allow them to find attractive opportunities in most market environments. Ruairidh was educated at Heriot-Watt University in his home town of Edinburgh, where he obtained a degree in Finance and Accounting.

Objective

To produce long-term capital growth. This fund will invest a minimum of two thirds of its total assets (after deduction of ancillary liquid assets) in equities of companies globally which are predominantly engaged in the energy, basic materials and utilities sectors.
