Aziz Unan was born in Turkey during the mid-seventies. He studied business administration at the Anglo-American University graduating in 1998, and has run the Renasset Ottoman Fund (formerly the Griffin Ottoman Fund) since 2006. Outside of fund management Aziz likes to unwind by working on his golf handicap or going for long walks. He also enjoys tennis, music and chess.

Objective

The Sub-Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in a portfolio of Emerging European Securities and MENA Region Securities. The Investment Manager specialises in investment in Emerging Europe and uses a bottom-up approach that incorporates both stock and sector views. The stock-picking style uses proprietary valuation models, target prices, stock market capitalisation, liquidity and view on managements quality.
