Paul Marriage

Paul Marriage does not confine himself to a particular investment style when stocking his portfolio for the Cazenove UK Smaller Companies fund. Marriage joined Cazenove in 2005 and is a member of the pan-European equity team, having previously worked at Insight as head of UK small cap investment. He studied modern history at University College, Oxford before embarking upon his career.

John Warren

John Warren is a fund manager within the Pan European Equity team at Cazenove Capital. John started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a chartered accountant in 1998. He moved to Investec Bank in 2001 where he became a UK mid & small cap fund manager prior to joining Cazenove in 2010. John graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Accountancy. He holds the ACA and SFA designations.

Objective

The fund aims to achieve absolute returns through targeted investment strategies independent of UK market conditions or indices. The fund has a bias towards medium and small cap stocks. It aims to deliver a minimum positive return over a rolling three-year period from both rising and falling equity prices. In addition, in the medium term (5 years plus) the fund is targeting a return of +10% per annum (net of fees) with less than two thirds of the volatility of the FTSE All-Share Index. There is no guarantee that either the positive returns or this target will be achieved.
