Gerry Ferguson was born in Glasgow in 1953. He attended the University of Glasgow where he gained a BSc in applied science. He started his career in the property market in 1974, and in 1983 he became a fund manager at Scottish Widows. In 1986 he joined Scottish Amicable as a fund manager and in 1996 moved to RREEF (UK) Limited where he was a director. Gerry has been a fund manager at Aberdeen Asset Management (formerly SWIP) since 2000 where he runs the Aberdeen Property Trust. He has been managing funds for over 26 years and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and the Investment Property Forum. Outside of fund management he enjoys golf, rugby, football, walking, music and the cinema and theatre.


To provide investors with a total return consistent with a balanced commercial property portfolio. The Trust will invest primarily in commercial UK property. The Trust may also invest in US or continental European real estate, property related equities, property investment companies, collective investment schemes, government securities and cash.
