A long serving employee at Columbia Threadneedle, and lead manager on the Threadneedle UK Monthly Income fund, Jonathan Barber graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from Bath University before starting his investment career at Scottish Equitable as an investment analyst in 1990. He moved to join Eagle Star Investment Managers as a fund manager in 1992, and the firm became part of Columbia Threadneedle in 1994. During his time at Columbia Threadneedle, Jonathan has managed a number of the firm’s funds.


The Fund will seek to achieve an above average income combined with sound prospects for capital growth. The Fund will invest primarily in UK equities. It may, however, invest in other securities, such as convertibles and gilts. Income will be paid monthly.
