Heartwood client services head joins Stonehage

Stonehage Investment Partners has appointed Guy Hudson as executive director and head of business development.

Hudson, who has 29 years' experience, joins from Heartwood, where he was a board director and head of client services.

In his new capacity Hudson (pictured) will play a key role in expanding the multi-family office's client base and enhancing its client offering, both in the UK and internationally.

Anton Sternberg, Stonehage managing director, said in a statement: 'Guy [Hudson] is a talented and well-known figure in the UK wealth management industry and has exceptional experience in other asset management sectors and geographies too.

He added: 'He has worked across a variety of disciplines in previous roles and brings the unique blend of skills we look for in our senior family office team.

Prior to Heartwood, Hudson held senior business development and sales leadership roles at BNY Mellon Asset Management, where he he had a 14 year spell.

He began his investment career as a portfolio manager at Bank Von Ernst in Switzerland.

Stonehage currently advises on assets in excess of $3 billion (£1.83 billion) on behalf of international family groups.
