Henderson hires Mercer's O'Connor as multi-asset director
Markets
by Sarah Miloudi on Jan 14, 2013 at 08:54
Paul O'Connor has been appointed director of multi-asset at Henderson, bolstering its asset allocation, investment management and product development expertise.
O'Connor comes on board from Mercer Investment Consulting where he was partner and head of asset allocation in the EMEA sector.
He will begin his role at the firm on January 28 and report to Bill McQuaker, head of multi-asset, and who O'Connor worked alongside during a period at Credit Suisse.
Welcoming O'Connor to Henderson, McQuaker (pictured) said: 'During the course of his career Paul has built a complete set of asset allocation skills spanning fixed income, equities, cash and alternatives. Having worked with Paul for a number of years at Credit Suisse I am very familiar with how he operates. Given the team approach we take, his collegiate style will be extremely valuable.'
O'Connor's hire is the second multi-asset appointment at Henderson at recent months. In December the investment house brought over James de Bunsen from Armstrong Investment Managers, adding him as a fund manager to the team following the announced departure of Tony Lanning.
