Henderson names new chairman ahead of AGM

by James Phillipps on Feb 06, 2013 at 07:46

Richard Gillingwater has been named chairman designate of Henderson with immediate effect.

He will take on the role of chairman following the asset manager’s annual general meeting in May, replacing Rupert Pennant-Rea.

Gillingwater is currently the non-executive chairman of CDC Group and a senior independent director of Hiscox. He was previously the dean of Cass Business School having spent a decade at Kleinwort Benson prior to that.

Pennant-Rea said: ‘Henderson will be well served by having a person of Richard's standing as its Chairman and his experience will be a great asset to the company.’
