Heptagon adds two global equity funds to its platform

The London-based wealth manager Heptagon Capital has rolled out two new global equity funds on its Irish UCITS platform, the Oppenheimer Global Focus Equity and the Kopernik Global All-Cap Equity funds.

The funds, which are now available to professional UCITS investors, are managed by Randall Dishmon and Dave Iben, respectively.

The Oppenheimer Global Focus Equity fund is managed by Randall Dishmon of New York-based OFI Global Asset Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of OppenheimerFund.

Dishmon started managing the strategy in October 2007. His previous positions at the firm include serving as co-manager of the Global Multi Cap Growth Strategy and senior research analyst for the Global Equity Strategy.

The second fund is managed by Dave Iben, founder and chief investment officer of Kopernik Global Investors, who is based in Florida. From July 2012 through March 2013, he managed the $2.7 billion Global Value Long-Short equity portfolio at Vinik Asset Management.

Commenting on the new fund launches, Tarek Mooro, managing Partner and CEO of Heptagon said in a statement: 'In line with our philosophy of identifying high-conviction, benchmark agnostic, outperforming managers, we feel very confident that these funds will significantly reward stakeholders over the coming years.'

This takes the number of funds on Heptagon’s $2.8 billion assets under management (AUM) UCITS platform to five.

Heptagon Capital was formed in 2005 by ex-Morgan Stanley directors including Mooro, Eran Ben-Zour and Fredrik Plyhr.
