Hermes hires Barings marketing head Ian Pascal

Hermes Fund Managers has hired Ian Pascal as its new marketing head.
Pascal is replacing Rob Page, who will leave the company in July for Henderson Global Investors.
Based at the London headquarters, Pascal will report to Harriet Steel, global head of business development and lead Hermes’ global institutional and wholesale marketing strategy and will head all corporate communications.
Pascal joins from Baring Asset Management, where he spent 11 years and was most recently head of the firm’s global marketing strategy, managing a team of 35 people across eight offices worldwide.
Prior to Barings, he held senior marketing positions at Old Mutual Asset Management and Hill Samuel Asset Management.
Harriet Steel, global head of business development at Hermes Fund Managers said in a statement: ‘[Ian’s] appointment underscores our brand at a very exciting point in our evolution.
'Ian’s deep cross market experience will be instrumental in differentiating us from our competitors and communicating our strategy to Hermes’ rapidly expanding client base.’
Hermes Fund Managers controls £25.6 billion worth of assets.
