by Dylan Lobo on Feb 11, 2014 at 15:12
Jupiter Asset Management has named Simon Hynes as global head of distribution.
Hynes replaces Maarten Slendebroek (pictured), who is due to replace Edward Bonham Carter as chief executive on 17 March.
Hynes has been with Jupiter for 12 years. He joined the UK sales team as national & networks sales manager in 2002, taking on increased responsibility for other sales channels in the UK.
In his current role of head of client coverage UK, he is responsible for all UK distribution channels, including retail, wealth management and institutional sales.
'Simon has established himself as a key member of the management team at Jupiter,' Slendebroek said in a statement.
'He has a deep understanding of both our business and the fund management industry and has been instrumental in driving our growth in the UK over several years. It is pleasing to broaden his responsibilities further with this new role.'
Hynes added: 'Jupiter has enjoyed strong growth since I joined the company in 2002 and the opportunities for further expansion in both the UK and internationally are significant.'
