James Senior exits Ignis Asset Management
Markets
by Emma Dunkley on Sep 27, 2012 at 15:03
James Senior, head of marketing at Ignis Asset Management, has left the firm after nearly four years at the company.
Senior joined Ignis after working at New Star Asset Management for five years, where he occupied the role of head of marketing communications.
Prior to this, he was assistant head of communications at CDC Group and previously held roles at the London Stock Exchange and Mercury Asset Management.
A spokesperson at Ignis said three others have also left the firm, following an ongoing review of the firm’s distribution team.
However, the firm has made a raft of hires recently to bolster other elements of the business.
Ignis hired Mark Julio from Barings, as part of a move to launch into the emerging markets equities space.
On the sales side, Ignis hired Simon Cowan as fund sales director, as part of the group’s repositioning away from its joint venture boutiques.
Jeremy Soutter was also appointed as global head of product development in June.
